          Monte Xanic Rose
The award for my favorite rosé of the year so far goes to this great bottle from Monte Xanic. Seventy-five miles south of Tijuana, in Baja California, the winery has emerged as one of Mexican wine country's leaders, an intrinsic part of a blossoming region that deserves your attention. This wine is very clean, with a beautiful light cherry red hue.
